A promotional DVD showcases both your music and your stage performance. A typical promotional DVD consists of the following: - A three or four digital video camera shoot of a live performance.
- The audio can be capured from your sound board or a multi-track recording.
- From a VHS tape from one camera, you select the material you wish to include on the DVD.
- The video is edited and the audio is mixed to 5.1 surround sound.
- An interview with the artist(s) can be captured to highlight special qualities of your music.
- Graphics for the DVD menu and outer case are created.
- All the material is encoded into the proper format and authored to a DVD.
The cost of a typical promotional DVD: - $280 to $500 for the shoot
- $30 to $80 per minute of finished video
