The Vulture Mine
with John & Marge Osborne Purchase the DVD $5.95
When the mine was forced to close in 1942, the once thriving community became a ghost town. Protected by a series of caretakers, the Vulture is on the best preserved authentic ghost towns in the west. Since 1972 John and Marge Osborne have been the mine's only permanent residents. The Osbornes talk about a number of their interesting and unique experiences at the mine. John also tells how Henry Wickenburg found the mine and explains how the ore was processed. John gives an idea of life at the Vulture -- where the unmarried men ate and bunked, the "ladies" at the "apartments" and the untimely end of people caught highgrading (Stealing the high grade ore.)
